will this pick up my 60ft. by going to a 4.10 or higher gear from a 4.56. i ask this because i think that the 4.56 maybe hurting my 60ft with the th400 trans. and i also have a small tire(28x10.5) with a 5400 converter. because this would be way cheaper than switching to a glide.

I don't think 4.10's will help your 60ft if your already running 56's. Pick up a set of 4.88's if you have enough rpm to pull through the traps...

the 4.10 will slow wheel speed and it will help with hitting the tires to hard as i was told. thats why guys with big cubes or a lot of n2o with small tire cars use glides because of the hi 1st gear vs 3 speeds, that what was explain to me. i have 4.88 but i doubt if i will ever use them. i dont have a tire that big and i probably what run n/a again.

lots of guys run 4.88's n/a, the 4.10's are gunna slow you 60' but speed up your 1000' to 1320'

with .88s my wheel speed will be higher there for hurting 60ft. more and killing my e.t. by slowing down the wheel speed the car will move quicker.

sounds backwards to me, as long as your tires aren't spinning higher wheel speed= lower et... :-k

TH-400's do eat about 18 hp compared to a TH-350... I know quite a few guys that spend a little more $$ on a th-350 build rather than running a 400. Just depends on how long you want it to last I guess!

this racing and sometime to go fast you must go slow, well i'm going to try it and see how it works plus i'm going to spray it and the 4.10s would help more.

well i change gear to a 3.89 from a 4.57 and the 60ft. didnt pick up neither did the e.t. everything stayed the same. i save a ton of rpm and i come to the conclusion that it may be my converter.

I went from 3.55's to 4.56's and picked up 2 tenths on the 60 and just over 4 on the big end... I would like to put in some 4.88's and a spool for next season...
