This is the stuff I used on my 1/4's and as far as I know, longterm wise, it resists corrosion as long as you use it on clean metal. The only other thing is if your using it like I did where your overlapping the panel you'll want to make sure you sand off as much of the adhesive that oozes out as you can. If not, you can have a "ghosting" effect through the paint and finish plastic where you can see the seam down the line. The ghosting comes from the adhesive has different flex properties than the metal your using it on as far as heat and stress flex. Just do a good cleanup job and you'll never have to worry about it though. And with separating, it shouldn't through normal wear and tear. If it gets hit HARD, no amount of adhesive or welding would help you anyway.
