This is a dumb question but,,, my friend has a big bock chevy with a comp solid roller and lifters. How does the oil get to the rockers? Does it travel up the center of the pushrod through the rocker hole just like a hydraulic or does it rely on splash? I have been priming the engine for 10 minutes but still no oil to the rockers thanks.

You may have been doing this already but next time if you will turn the engine
a quarter turn at a time as someone is running the priming stick then it will help bleed the air out of the system. Also something alot of people forget is that the big blocks are supposed to have a bleed hole in the oil galley plugs in the front of the block.
If they don't have the bleed hole then the system can get air locked.
