Anyone try putting a 2.8, 3.1, or 3.4 60Deg v6 in a gbody?

Do the heads on the 3800 have symetrical intake ports though? If so, then you could mount the supercharger in the opposite direction.

How would the blower be driven then?

OK, I see your point. I didn't take that into account. I wonder if there would be enough room to install a 90 degree air pipe elbow between the throttle body inlet and the firewall, then run an inlet tube up to the rad support? I guess it would depend on how far back the engine sits in the engine bay. I still think that a supercharged 3.8 in a G body would be neat.

I think the air intake would have to be run through the firewall. But I'm sure it could be done. May not me the best looking and you would probably lose your dash vents-:)

Another engine that I wondered about swapping is the DOHC 3.4 V6 that GM installed in the Lumina Z34 back in the early to mid '90s. I know that they weren't the greatest engine GM ever built, and that they had their issues, but when they were in good repair and well maintained, they ran pretty well, and they had good top end power. They were a pretty good looking engine as well. There's not much of a difference in weight between the GM W body and the G body, so in a G body it should still perform reasonably well, especially with a manual transmission. There would be some hurdles to overcome to install it in the G body, but once again, I think it would be something neat, and certainly different.
