1980 El Camino Carb to TBI

Post by bradley31 » Mon Jun 13, 2016 8:32 am

I am doing an engine swap in my 1980 El Camino. Originally it had a 229 Carborated V-6. I am installing a 4.3 L TBI V-6 from a 1991 S-10. I am having trouble locating a sending unit/fuel pump module. I was able to get a replacement tank - Spectra P/N GM515B - Looks like a bolt-in. Unfortunately, Spectra does not make the Fuel Module.
I have been looking around the internet and cannot find one.
Has anyone had this problem?

I just found that Dixie Restoration Depot has the sending unit, and it's reasonably priced.
dixierestorationdepot.com, 1-877-24-DIXIE (877-243-4943). Comes without the pump, they recommended the pump from whatever donor vehicle your engine came out of. Fits both 17 and 22 gallon tank. Excellent tech support.
