How to tell negative and positive sides of brake switch.

Post by 78elk » Sat Sep 14, 2019 7:00 pm

I'm trying to wire I'm my cruise control system in my 78 El Camino
The directions say to put one wire to the positive side of the brake switch and another to the negative side. How do I determine which side is the positive side? Your help is much appreciated.

It shouldn't make a difference. The switch is not polarized.

Thanks. I learned the red wire is the positive and the white wire is the negative.
