That's where my temp. sensor is for my gauge. I had an electric fan, but I took it off (had it on there for a couple years without issue) because I went through 4 alternators in a week... everything was fine after I removed the fan. Not to discourage you, but I'm a little leary of them now :?

It's up farther under the dash :lol: There's a grounding strip up there for spade connectors, should be near that.

I've kinda thought about Vortecs myself on the Sonoma. It's a '91 (TBI), but I recall something about some being called a Vortec head, but weren't? Do they have the Vortec-design combustion chamber or something?
