    Rally Gauges to dark

That looks phenomenal  Makes me want to do the same in mine 8)

It came from where? NOW what....

So it turns out the lug nuts were loose on that wheel... I don't quite know how it happened, I haven't taken the wheels off the truck in a long time (definitely not in the 10 months I've been out here), so I'm not sure what the deal was. The other 3 wheels were fine... kind of weird that they...

It came from where? NOW what....

Re: It came from where? So apparently a bad u-joint wasn't my only problem. Part of the noise I heard is still there, sounds like it's coming from the driver's side of the axle, I'm starting to wonder if it's a wheel bearing. Right now it's just when I'm coasting and almost at a stop...

It came from where? NOW what....

Re: It came from where? Just did u-joints, the one at the rear didn't have fluid movement, so I figure that was the source of the squeak. The yoke had a buildup of gunk/sludge back around the weep hole, I'm thinking that may be part of the reason I was getting a leak, guess we'll find out...

It came from where? NOW what....

Re: It came from where? That's a good question. Since yesterday a squeak/squawk/noise has also started, I think/hope a u-joint is just going bad.

It came from where? NOW what....

Re: It came from where? Odd that you would say that... everything is 100% stock, and it never leaked until recently.

    My Manual brakes Are Horrible...Help

Holy old topic... I got through 2 or 3 posts before I realized how old it was  Yes, the bigger piston will cause a hard pedal. It doesn't provide enough pressure with "normal" pressure you typically put on the brake pedal.

    Bolt patt?

Typically not, but some have a dual bolt pattern that fit both engines. I believe all but the 700R4 and newer transmissions have both available.

    Rally Gauges to dark

Flat white would help distribute the light more evenly. With a reflective surface you'll have some spots brighter than others.

    Rally Gauges to dark

You could try painting the 'reflector' portions (where it's blue on the inside of the cluster) a flat white color, that will help reflect some light. Also, there are two types of bulbs you can fit into the same socket, 168 and 194... one is brighter than the other, I can never keep them straight.

Everyone post your wheel and tire combo.

Do the fronts rub at all when turning? I'm not surprised the rears fit fine... their issue is when the tires start getting wider (i.e. a 275/60 on a 10" wheel starts getting tight I believe).

    Flames On My Bu

What color are you going with? I agree on the white pearl, it'd add just enough light imo.

Sounds good! Do you have a link to the specific thread? I'm down for some readin'.

    Hotchkis 1902F front springs

This is with 2" drop spindles... to be honest I'm not 100% how much of a drop the spindles actually added though, considering the car looks to sit level. The tires are 205/60/15, about 24½" tall. 225/70s will most likely rub, they're about 27½" tall. From a rough guess here I'd figure the lip...

    V6 to V8 swap.

Motor mounts, possible fuel plumbing to the pump, possible trans mount (didn't say what trans you currently have), possible driveshaft (not sure if 200 and 350 use the same), radiator shroud/radiator/hoses, exhaust... I may be missing a couple things, but that's a large part of it.

    Car audio wholesale...

Thanks for the offer, I already have a used Sony unit that I'll probably use to start with... doesn't play MP3s (does have an AUX input though) but has 3 sets of RCA outputs which is one of things I'll need while building the system (controlling front/rear balance and SUB output from the unit).

    race alternator

I'm not sure if it was in reference to what I said, but that's basically what I was trying to say as well about the alternator charging... I don't know what makes a 'race alternator' what it is, but I assume they are designed to not put as much drag on the engine as a stock alternator, but as...

    race alternator

Was the smaller pulley on a regular or race alternator? Regular alternators kick in somewhere around 800-1,200rpm I believe, depending on mfr/application. Even if the pulley slowed it down 50% you'd probably still be ok since it would kick in around 2,400rpm tops.

    Car audio wholesale...

No, just starting to shop around. Sooner or later I'll need stuff for the Malibu. I already have a sub I'll likely use. Gotta get a couple amps, speakers, head unit, and wiring.

    Car audio wholesale...

I've come across a couple sites that list stuff at 'wholesale' prices, but remembered someone posted a link to a site that had some really good pricing... does anyone have any good links?
