Another week in the books with the Monte, another 300 miles and another happy smile at the end. I wish I would have done this Sniper earlier, man what a pleasure to drive it is now.
Dont worry there was some fail mixed in. My three factory gas gauges did not work nor did my known good autometer unit I have as a temporary. The sender unit tested good so it must be the wire between the sender and the bulk plug on the gauges. I will fix that soon.
I drove my Monte this entire week as my sole vehicle. I logged about 300 miles on it, everything from stop and go to highway and everything in between for work. I took the boys to camp in it, went grocery shopping and even got a few thumbs up. The holley sniper EFI gave it a entire new feel...
I took the body off my donor grand prix framer. It took about 3 hours total including running home to grab the utility and car trailer to bring both halves home. amazingly while all the body bolts zipped right out, I will have to repair about half of the body mount bolts. Im fine with that as...
I installed the Aeromotive Stealth pump in my new gas tank, ordered all the fittings and lines for the new fuel system and welded shut the old lines on the sender unit to use it as a gauge only.
I replaced one borrowed Holley for another borrowed Holley. I desperately need to bolt my Holley Sniper and Aeromotive Stealth fuel system on my Monte Carlo.
Im not sure what happened to my build thread but I bought a Aeromotive stealth fuel system and a Holley Sniper EFI for the Monte Carlo. I will start installing them once I have a free weekend to play around.
Tell me more about the ROH wheels on this. What size and do you use spacers to make them work? I remember these wheels being available for F Body cars but not G Body cars as a direct bolt on. Good looking Monte!
Those are among the best looking wheels on those cars period! Did you get 4 fronts? What size tires are on them? The silver with gray paint looks great!
Put 7 or 8 gallons of old 110 race fuel into it since it tends to screw with the lawn mower.
Sure does not run any better but it smells good in the process.
I swapped everything on the interior from a bench seat column shift to bucket, console, floor and tile column. It took about 7 hours and tomorrow I will attend to some small detail items. Quite a transformation.
