I'm installing an A/F gauge and I can get a pair of 4 wire O2 sensors for $20 from a friend. How would I go about wiring up the "heater circuit" part of the sensor. Can I just run it to a Ign switched 12 volts, or is there more to it

i run mine that way, i put an inline fuse in it, i'm no electrician by any means and i'm not sure how many amps the heating element draws but so far so good, if anyone has a better idea i'm sure we'd all like to hear it.

ignition switched sounds good

as for the fuse, if you have access to a multimeter you can measure the heater resistance and find out how many amps it will draw (approximately)
V/R = I

14 volts / 7 ohms = 2 amps, for example

the heater resistance may change when it gets hot too so just go up to the next fuse size above the required current and i think you should be fine
