I have a nice little 5.3. Heads are cnc ported gm castings stainless valves, double valve springs titanium locks and keepers, Roller rockers and hardened pushrods, also have arp rod bolts. The engine only has 30,000 miles on it

I have someone that wants to trade me a stock 6.2L aluminum block engine for my 5.3. The 6.2 has 180,000 miles on it. What I'm asking is does anyone think its worth trading to gain the cubic inches? I know the power potential is better with the 6.2 But I will have to start all over with the performance add ons

If the heads come with the block then yea, it would be worth it, but other wise, I'd save the money and stick with what you've got.
I'd say the stock L92 heads out flow CNC ported 706's.

Yes it comes with the heads. I was just looking at the miles. I haven't seen what the cylinders look like yet. I also don't know how much boring they can take safely

L92, L99, LS3? I think trading your 5.3 for that would be a pretty decent deal regardless of RPO. Especially if you are planning to do some mods to it.

That's a lot of miles, so I'm assuming its al highway so I wouldn't worry about it. What year motor is the 6.2

I think you're coming out a head with the 6.2 over the 5.3 if it comes with the heads. Like I mentioned before, the 6.2 heads out flow ported 706 or at the least would flow equal too, no matter if they're LS3 or L92's. Either way they're a step up.
