I have a street driven car with around 300 hp, but i would also like to plan for future upgrades. 2600 stall , 245-40/17 tires. Is there a big difference in comfort and drivability between a 50/50 and a 70/30? Or do you think i should just do upper control arms and stick with factory shock/coils? thanks, kyle

Hey mobile

Are you intending to drag race on occasion and in-general do some street driving?

Anytime you move from 50/50 shocks to 70/30 or 90/10 you sacrifice street drivability for drag performance. With good power and a 2600 stall you should check your launch before deciding what to do next.

If you blow the tires off, you could use our relocation brackets to gain forward traction. By keeping the 50/50 shocks as long as possible you won't compromise street driving.

As for comfort, even 70/30's aren't so bad but you have to get used to driving on them as the car tends to pitch around more than with 50/50's. Do you have a brand of shock in mind?

What are you looking for in the upper control arms? Ours have Delrin bushings for ez-up ability and work equally well for drag and street.

Let me know what your plans are and we can get you hooked up.

My car is only going to be driven on the street. I'm just having some problems with traction from a dead stop. I heard that upper control arms have a lot to do with this problem, and mine are original, so I am looking to upgrade. So I guess ill stick with my kyb gas a shocks in the rear as well as a factory replacement coils Ungraded and do upper control arms. What is the price range on your uppers?

Hey mobile.

These are $439.99 and work wonders for your street car. The handling improves, the feel improves and the "drop" improves for drag launch due to the Delrin bushings.

For forward bite on launch, I'd recommend:

These relocation brackets are very popular with the drag/street launch crowd.

i had no issues at all with the first set, just wanted adjustable uppers.
