700r4...

I got a chance to buy a 700r4 for $125...since i dont know sh*t about transmissions and a bunch of other stuff, I figured I would ask you guys.

What do I look for?
Is there a certain type of 700r4 I want to stay away from?
Is this a good price?

The guy told me the previous owner rebuilt it but you know how that goes..

125 is a good price even if it needs a rebuild...I read somewhere that some of the 700's that were in truck had a lage "K" cast into them up by the bell housing..it just means that the case is thicker..A lot of high performance guys and off roaders like those.
