my 7.5 is long in the tooth.. also runs 2.41 gears all orignal OEM inside. i dotn see the point in puting new gears in with out doing a min basic rebuild/upgrade form 26 to 28 spline and series 2 to series 3 crarrier. im looking at ~1000.00 for rebuild with update/upgrade parts.
i have know idea what a 8.8 would cost for the swap with junkyard axle housing and arms brakes etc
i can get then currie 9" for ~2500
moser 12b i can get for about 2400 with 33 spines 35 if i got spool/wave lock with is nother 1G
car is still primary DD likely never see anythign more then sticky treaded tires and possibly putign a diesel in later down the road.
for the 8.8 swap guys how much do you have in the swap minus driveshaft cost?
im looking at goign 3.08 or 3.42 gears for equivalant sizes dont nned anything deeper
