I have been reading some previous post about lowering the rear to get the geometry correct.I run a 87 gn clone with 8.5 10 bolt,all iron bbc 454 11.7@123 mph best 60ft 1.72 my front end has the v6 springs but the rear end is very jacked up about shouls i lower the rear some??And how do i know how much to lower the rear.Ther front has a 2 inch drop due to the weight of the bbc,i have some weight reduction in the front,fiber hood,steel front bumper with aluminum enforcement cutout/removed aluminum bumper shocks,no ac,ps,heater,aluminum iroc-z raditor aluminnum intake,manual brakes,aluminum batteries,90/10 front shocks ce.,aluminum calipers.

Not quite sure what you mean. Or what you want. Do you want to lower the rear for aesthetics? Do you want to change the way the car handles? Do you want to change the geometry for better 60 foots? Is this a street car? How much street vs strip duty does it pull? Is it more wacked out than mine? I 60' 1.57-1.60 as it sits now.

I don't think he's 60in where he should be, that's what's costin' him the time. Definitely makin' the power.
Starting with the basics, what do you have back there now? All stock? Also, realistically, how much street driving do you do with it? Although mine sits high with the stock springs and reduced weight, it has altered geometry to improve the instant center for launching. Mine sees zero street time.
very little street time 80% track the rest just replaced completly blown delco rear shocks (could have been part of the problem)with kyb replacement rear shocks,90/10 front ce shocks,boxed uppers and lowers,dual air bags,28x9 these are all new items not yet tested.What else can i do on a budget.
