it'll be just like the 6.0L LS2 blocks. I believe you have tap those holes in the valley area and plug them

i've been trying to find the specific topic on ls1tech.com for you.

Yeah, the search sucks over there, haha.

I'm actually one of the mods for LS1tech, and been asking a couple other guys to find the specific post with the directions.

That valley cover is very interesting!!! Havent ever seen one like that, but never had any "new stuff"

I just got off the phone with Livernois Motorsports to talk about carbing my 6.2 and you have to change just about everything.Cam,lifters, put timing chain on it ,change timing cover.he didn't say anything about the oil pump but i think you have to change that to,along with a few other things but i forgot already and it's only been 10 minutesso i would say maybe buying all this parts off a used 6.0 or buy there complete kit with comes with everything you need...........i've been looking for this info for a few day's now kind of bumbed out that i have to spend more money but i did get a good deal on the motor 07 escalade 6.2 with 9,000 miles for 900.00 bucks and i want to run carb so it is what it is i guess

I read about that too...cam ,timing chain, and front cover and block the holes in the valley . The oil pump is higher pressure, some say keep it some say just use a stocker. For what you paid you can stick a few $$ in it and have a sweet motor.

Ok if you have just vvt all you have to change is the cam timing chain and timing cover, but if your motor was dod then you have to swap out everything, lifters valley pan push rods and so on.they didn't start dod on escalade motors until 08 mines an 07 dancin_banana.gif
