Alternator Bat. Lead wiring question

Long time lurker and have a question. I just converted my Monte over to a Serp. setup from a 91 F-Body with a 105 amp alternator. Everything is hooked up except for the main charge wire. For anyone that has done this conversion how did you run the wire or what would be the best way? Go from the Alternator right over to the battery or go from the Alt. down to the starter and what about a fuse.? I also have a remote starter solenoid kit kicking around that I could install now if that would make things easier. Thanks

I would hook up the solenoid then run the alternator to the battery side of the solenoid or to the battery. Only reason I have my alternator run to the trunk is for the painless cutoff switch that is mounted back there. Also, put in a fusible link or something between the alternator and battery just in case.
