Hey fellas, need some help

I have a 78 Malibu with a BBC in it. Im getting ready to swap the Powerglide out for a Jerico 4 speed.

I have Hooker Super Comp headers on it (you know, the ones that look like an octopus is growing out of the heads) LOL

Anyway, before I buy a pedal, linkage and z-bar kit, does anybody here know if the z-bar will fit with a BBC and Super Comp headers?

Changing the headers isnt an option and I dont want to go hydraulic unless I absolutely have to..... so Im hoping to be able to bolt on and go.

If you have any info, Id be glad to hear it!

I suggest to look at the footnotes in the Hooker catalog.

I think some guys here dimple the headers to fit the z-ber, but Hooker says mechanical clutch linkage is a no-go. I'm going hydraulic.

I went on their website and look at the tech notes and didnt see anything about working with a z-bar.

I got to looking at mine and thats when I either figured it was a really tight fit, or they wouldnt work together....
