I just pulled my 10 bolt posi out of my MCSS.. my friend was wondering if he can put it in his 87 camaro? is this possible?.. otherwise im gonna sell it, but would rather help a friend out first.

Yes the Monte Carlo and the pre 1988 camaro rear gears and the posi units are the same 26 spline axles .Now the complete rear end will not work. The Monte Carlo has coil springs set up and the Camaro has leaf springs.
Uh dude, 82 and newer Camaro's dont have leaf springs 
They have coil springs, lower trailing arms that are EXACTLY the same as a G-body, and a torque arm. No upper trailing arms. BTW, it (the carrier and axles) wont switch over IF it's an Australian 9 bolt which were fairly common on those cars. The rest had 7.5 or 7 5/8" rears and the stuff WILL switch over. USUALLY but not ALWAYS, the Camaro's that had rear disc were Australian.

IIRC, the Monte SS rear end stock uses 26 spline axles. Around '88-'89 they switched all the 7.5" rear ends to 28 spline especially in S10 trucks, but I think also in Camaro's.
