Hey guys! I have a question. I just finished my .40 over 350/350 combo with a 3200 stall. The cam is the Edelbrock 7102 (.488/.510 lift) It is a handfull when you nail it but for street driving it seems like its freewheeling alot until you are in the throttle and possibly resembles a slipping transmission? Is this normal for this converter to feel as if you cant really feel the gears (has a B&M shift kit also but cant feel it until you throttle hard) unless you are moderately in the throttle? If anyone has a clue please let me know.

yes that i common for a stall like that. it also depends on the rear gear you have in your car. the lower the gear the sooner the stall will lock up. so it is more noticable with a 3.42 as compared to 4.56. right now i have a 9inch converter in my car with a 3.42 gear so the car doesnt move until around 3600.

Well, this rearend is stock as a clock. I believe it to be a 276 gear? Rearend is fixing to be replaced with a 373 Richmond inside a 12 bolt housing that i shortened and received out of a 73 Chevy truck. Thanks for your response tho. Ive never had a stall over 2200. Just wanted to be sure.

the convertor is just fine.you just need more gear. The car will drive a whole lot better after you change the rear.
