Got a nice black bear as i was sneaking into my tree stand. Then got a bull moose about an hour later. Both my boys were with me. It was very exciting!

Whitetail season is only 2 weeks long this year here. Bad winter kill and over abundance of timber wolves has decimated the population. My Wife also has a draw moose tag so if she gets a moose i doubt i will even hunt deer this year. Plus my brother isn't to happy with me for dropping this bear right on top of his deer bait pile!
Do you process your own meat?

man thats cheap! A deer would be $250 here. I did my own moose which probably save about $350 or $400.

Wow that's sweet! Dads had a buck and a doe near his stand, but not that close. Around here they do a lottery for a moose tag. Good luck with that, and even then, you have to find one. I believe now, if you are 70, and have yet to get a tag, you automatically get one.

My friends 12 yr old cousin went on the greatest hunt through the make a wish project, and got a 853 lb bull up in Berlin NH.

Here he is on the right with his parents

good deal! Thats alot of Bull!!!

My wife and i both got drawn for moose. We both got one. You get drawn here about every 4 years. Its not hard to find one either. They are everywhere. You can also just go buy a regular season tag but they are only for the forest zones and its much harder to find a moose in the forest. Deer season is shorter and later this year because deer populations are way down. The last couple winters have been very cold with deep snow. Also the wolf population has been very high. Not a good combination for deer!
