Guys I need some help coming up with some bore numbers for a setup that a buddy and me are contemplating. My friend has the 87' 442 Cutlass, and I have the 04' Vortec 8100(496ci), you see where this is going right? Well its a well known fact that the pistons in these engines are the weak spot when it comes to high rpm, so I want to go in and do an overbore with forged pistons. The stock bore is 4.250"(107.95mm) and the stroke is 4.370"(111mm). All I want to do is go 60over stock bore and keep the same stroke. Can anyone tell me what size bore that will be then and with the combined stroke of 4.370, what will the final displacement be?
