Fiberglass parts and the Daily Driven El Camino?

I'm getting ready to bring my El Camino into the body shop for rust eradication and paint. Weight is a big thing with electric vehicle conversions and I'm tempted to to have a fiberglass hood, front fenders and bumpers installed while she's being worked.

Is there any reason why fiberglass bumpers, fenders and a hood would not be a good idea for a daily driver? I'm not thinking in terms of damage done by park by ear specialists, I'm thinking in terms of stress cracks from regular driving ect...

Who would I go to for fiberglass front fenders for an 80 El Camino? The only source I know of is Unlimited Products, and I don't want to waste any money on them.

I'm thinking of going with Lauren Engineering for bumpers and VFN for a hood. Any comments?

The key here is that this will be a daily driver and not a race car.
I'd do a fiberglass hood for the obvious weight difference.
Maybe a fiberglass bumper and keep the reinforcement bar. It's there for your safety.

Aluminum radiator support or one of Iceman's tubular lightweight supports would also be something I would consider.

No radiator means all the support is there for is to hold the fenders on.

There are also some aluminum bumper mounts out there.
