G-body wheel stud question

I want to replace my stock wheel studs on my 85 Monte SS with new longer studs and would like to keep my existing lug nuts. Does anyone know the thread size of the stock studs which are 1 3/4" long. Also where can I get 3" replacements. Thanks, John

the tread size is 12mm1.5 idk if you will be able to find extended studs stock thread

someone else said 7/16 x 20 now im totally baffled. Guess Ill just have to get studs and possibly nuts.

Yours will be metric. They changed in 80 or 81. If you go to summit it should look up by aplication and list 3" studs

i replaced my stock studs with 12mm ARP studs that were 3" long. that was on my old 7.5 rear.

I too had extended 12mm studs. They're out there.

What is the knurl on those arp studs?

if i recall correctly, they offer different sizes. i had to measure mine to be sure.

My 7.5 axles are .480. Found out the hard way when i drilled one with a half inch bit. lol!! My front hubs are .503. Checked before whipping on the drill today.

or you could do screw in studs.
