I'm putting my 383 stroker back together for my 80 El Camino & it looks like this one will wind up with 10.5-11:1 compression. It has been recommended to me to step up to 1.75" primary tubes. Was wondering what brand headers some of y'all are running. Right now I have an old set of Flowtech Afterburners which do just fine, but hoping the larger tubes will boost the power a bit. Any suggestions?

I don't think you will pick up any power going to 1 3/4 tubes. I changed from 1 5/8 to 1 3/4 on an 11.30 car and don't see anything. Google (Engine Masters Ep. 4 Bashes Headers For Horsepower—So You Don’t Have To) With that being said I like Shoenfeld headers - best bang for the buck.
They will clear, but don't leave a lot of working room back there. Removed mine several years ago. Had to dimple a tube on the passenger side & shave down one of the washers holding the upper control arm bushings in place, but other than that, been pretty happy with them. Slip in & out from the top pretty easy.
