Howard's Rattler camshaft ???????'s

Has anyone ever use the Howard's Rattler camshaft or heard anything about them I know that Comp cams thumpr just gives you the sound and the Howard is supposed to give you sound and performance? THANKS

Howards cams probably rattle when the hyd flat tappet lifters fail like they have for me. One failed right out of the box and the rest have been dying gradually one at a time.

The Rattler like Comps Thumper is just a series of their cam line.

I wouldn't say no performance gain but it doesn't match the sound. It's suitable to people who want a performance sounding cam. Speaking of comps thumpr flate tappet cams. I'm sure the roller thumpr are similar.

I can't speak for that line of Howards cams but I have used others with success. Mainly solid rollers

Don't buy a cam for sound - match it to you combo and what your using the car for.

Right and I just wanted to know if the rattle cams are for performance and sound or they are just good for the sound.
