Thanks. If it were up to me (I bought the car finished) I would have welded in a newer style GM handle that fit flush to the body. I also would have shaved the lock at the same time....I never need to use the darn thing. haha.

I always thought an '88-'98 GM truck handle fit fairly well. They're rectangular, similar to a boxy G-Body.
