Moog 5413 rear springs

I wanted to drop the rear 2", so at the suggestion of Canadian-T-Bone, I got the Moog 5413 rear springs. It is supposed to drop the rear 1.5"-2". It's hard to say how much it lowered mine, because the springs on my Malibu was weak and sagging. The fronts are sagging also, and I suspect someone used a torch on them at sometime because the front is not sitting level. I have a spacer in the driver spring to level it out. I'm probably going to get OPG 2" drop springs, but there is a 3-5 week delivery time. :evil: Anyway, here are a few shots.

The current rear tires are 245/60/15.


My son wants chrome IROC repro wheels, so I'm getting the 18" ones, like these:

That's a nice stance. The new wheels/tires will really finish it off nicely. I used the Hotchkis 1902's which dropped it about 1 1/2 inches or so... Just enough.

I think the Moog 5658 lower the front 1-1.5".

I've seen several vendors offering front springs with 2-2.5" drop for S-10. S-10 springs should fit a G-body, right? Only thing, I believe the Malibu front end weighs slightly more which would cause a little more drop. I really want only 2" drop. I don't want to worry about excessive rubbing issues.

Yes S10 springs will work,the popular moog 5658 is actually an S10 spring.

Phillip, The car looks really nice and the stance is perfect. I'm a fan of those wheel opening moldings. I know a lot of guys don't like them but I do. I also like the four headlight versions. Nice job. Lee

I think it looks good , replace the front springs with better ones & drop spindles & you'll be a hppy camper @ how well it takes corners . My car handles quite well with the drop & 17's .
