Ok im looking at getting new axel's...
I have a stock GN rear with the stock posi unit...
Thinking of getting some moser axel's.. and C-Clip eliminators....

Now my big question is.......
Do I buy a spool right away????? With 30 or 33 spline axel's????
Or will I be fine to run My stock unit???? and get the 28 spline stuff????

I Hope to be running mid to low 10s This spring [-o<
Thanks for all the help...... dancin_banana.gif

If you have the opportunity to do it now, might aswell do it once and be done with it.

Is the car driven on the street? If so you may not like a spool. I had one in my 12 bolt for a while and hated it.

Yes,, I do drive it on the street.... dancin_banana.gif

So do you think I will be ok to keep the stock gn posi unit????
And just get good 28 spline axel's for it????

Or should I just buy a new posi for 30 or 33 spline??? Is it really worth the money?????

Personally I would keep it like it is for now and add C clip eliminators. IMO having the axle come out is the worst thing that could happen. I know this from personal experience.

I don't think the axles are going to change your e.t.'s. As for a predetermined breaking point for an axle I have no idea, stock axles some are stronger than others. I would call Moser they will have good input on this.

If you run 10.99-9.99 you'll need aftermarket axles & C-clip eliminators just to pass tech. There's a host of other requirements, too- Driveshaft loop, SFI scattershield, rollbar (rollcage if the firewall, floor pan or body has been modified), SFI clutch & flywheel (on sticks), SFI balancer, 5 point harnesses, single layer jacket, gloves, proper helmet, steel valvestems on all 4 tires... confused_swirl.gif
