Not sure where to ask this, but can headers be powder coated if htey are going to be used for street use. I dont want to spend a ton on ceramic for street use, but paint will just burn off after time. Will the powder coating do the same?

the powder coating will stay on. it will help reduce under the hood temps on the street and make the headers last longer

eastwood makes a powder coating you can do at home, save alot of money

ive seen other guys get it done and never burnt off. it cost them a bit more than 40 a header. call around to some different places and even check the eastwood company

I didn't know you could powdercoat those either. Sounds like a pretty good idea and a good price for what you found

It WILL burn off. There may be some high temp stuff out there but 90% of it is just a plastic coating and will last only slightly if any longer than paint. There is a reason no one sells powder coated headers in catalogs. That is also why ceramic is so popular. It is really the only technology that works.
