Power brake vacuum

How much vaccum do I need for my power booster to work? Does anyone know of any factory power vacuum pumps I might be able to get at a salvage yard? Thanks

Steve , I also have a 83 wagon and had to go to the summit vac cannister but that is still not good enough. Thinking about switching to manual brake master cyl. I am going to pick it up today if it came in.

Generally you need between 12"-16" Hg to properly run power brakes
