power coated welds

for those who have powder coated weld rims, i'm just curious to know what steps were involved in doing it.

I looked into having a set of cragar street stars powder coated, and was told I needed to have them blasted first. But mine are steel wheels.

i've seen rims like i have on my car (pic in avatar) powdercoated black. there must be a way to do it.

Most of the black aluminum rims you see are anodized, not powdercoated.

Supe most guys are coating them because the anodizing doesnt like UV rays and fades or gets chalky.
