REAR END SWAP

Hi there,am planinig to swap a 12 inches into my 80 bu,i know that i have to fabricate a jigs fixture to fix de control arms. but i want to try to fix it with the new rear under the car, does anybody try to do this ? i mean just locate the new rear and weld the upper and lower control arms.

just curious, but does this "12 inches" have ears on the housing for the uppers already?

Cut him some slack, he is from Chile. His English is not too bad.

There are some English speaking people on this forum that can't write half as good.

He likely means 12 bolt.

thanks and sorry,i forgot to say 12 inches the gear,the number are 4:11,the rear end come out from a chevy pick up (about sixties) don`t remember the year,my question its how to fit it in a 80 malibu,i need to weld the uppers ears and the housing,but i don`t want to fabricate a jigs fixture,any help?.
have you ever try write in spanish?

if the rear end came from a truck you will need to do some welding and i would do it in some type of jig or you could be heading for some issues. if your not a good fabricator i would try to trade around and get a rear that will bolt in.

thanks,but i don`t know witch rear end swaps right in to my bu,if its so, they have to be weld too? i mean they have the uppers ears right in to? and the lowers will bolt on?.

i didn't think you could weld the upper ears on because it's cast iron. maybe i'm wrong.
