SBC Comp Cams fuelpump pushrod ???'s

I have a NEW Com Cams roller tip fuelpump pushrod(part#CCA-4609)and I cant seem to get the stud threaded into the front of the block,I have tried on 3 SBC engines but the stud will not thread in the block but if I put it in backwards it will start,I contacted Comp Cams and they sent me another stud and it will not thread in the bolt hole on the front of the engine but a bolt will thread in,anyone ever used one of these roller tip fuelpump pushrods?THANKS

Have you tried running a die across the stud to be sure the threads on the end with the pin are good?

I assume you are trying the fit when there is no pushrod in place?

Yeah I did one of the studs but it still wont start.
