Hello, I am planning on replacing my steering box in my 82 malibu wagon with one i have from a 80 model camaro. The reason im switching it out is because i had a brand new set of flaming river u joints and a shaft to replace the rag joints on my camaro. I no longer have the project but was gonna use them on my malibu. The top u joint (column to shaft) fits perfectly but the shaft to steering box u joint is different. Apparently the splined shaft on a camaros steering box is bigger than a malibus? My question is, if i switch steering boxes how badly will it affect my steering? I wasnt sure if the camaros had a higher or lower steering ratio and how much of a difference itd really make? Thanks in advance!
