You might have to play around with smaller master cylinder sizes to get a good pedal feel. I went with a MP 1 1/8" MC and the pedal is really too hard to inspire confidence, but I'm running 4-wheel discs with a total of 20 brake pistons (6ea in front, 4ea in rear).

Some aggressive pads can help a lot as well. For mellow driving around town your wife should be OK with just good pads. I just want more for higher speed slow-downs and stops.
