Pour some used motor oil down inside of the door so it gets inside and coats the lower door seam and skin. Rust typically will start on the inside so the more surface area you cover in oil the better. Drain off the excess. Smear some wheel bearing grease on the outter edges and lower door seam (front and back side). Use some wax on the outside painted panel to cover the bulk area. White Lithium grease in an aresol can also works well. Stand the doors on end (Door handle side down) on a block of wood. If the doors are going to sit for many years, buy some "shrink wrap" or some Saran wrap and wrap them up before sitting them on end.
