Trans brake w/forward Pat.

I want to put a trans brake in this winter but keep seeing them with a reverse pattern. Was just wondering if I install one with a reverse pattern will it work with my ratchet shifter? I have the el cheapo B&M starshifter it doesn't list that it can be used with a reverse pattern. Do they make a forward pattern trans brake.
I am trying to keep this upgrade as cheap as poss. so don't really want to buy a new shifter, even though there are some new fancy looking ones I like.

if you are driving this car on the street on a regular basis you may not want a trans
brake,due to the fact that you will lose the engine when the car down shifts.
you better have real good brake's or practice your evasive driving skill's...lol...

I've never seen a commercially available t-brake with forward pattern.

My powerglide was a forward pattern transbrake, not sure on the 350/400 though.
