on my chevy 350 trans im sure i adjusted the linkages correctly. when the car is started it goes into park fine but every gear i shift into on the shifter makes it drive forward.no reverse no neutral, just drive. i hear it click through the gears but all make the car go forward.new filter, all new fluid, vac hose, etc.

im very confused.

also on my last time inspecting the valve body, i noticed a s-clip fell on the ground. could this be my problem?
ANYONE HAVE ANY PICS OF HOW THIS CLIP GOES BACK IN??

Thanks in advance.

the S clip is most likely your problem I have some videos that show how all of it is installed... it is part of the manual valve linkage..
