Upper control arm adjustment?

I was setting the pinion angle on the malibu today and I noticed when I got it where I wanted it,It pulled the rearend over to the left far enough the tire was rubbing on the frame.
I have double adj.uppers and stock lowers and rubber bushings on the rear.I didn't realize how much the rubber on the rearend flex's.
What causes this?

I think what you need to do is first center the axle (shorten the passenger side UCA, lengthen the driver side UCA). Then adjust both UCAs the same amount in the same direction (i.e. both longer or both shorter) to bring the pinion angle to where you want it.

It's when the UCAs are adjusted unequally that lateral axle location changes.

Thanks guys.I got it figured out.Had to shorten the right and lengthen the left.Last year I had 1.47 60 ft.'s and since the adjustment and the arb went to 1.38 60ft.'s.

Norm is right, that is how I setup a rear end in any "factory 4 link" car.

Congrats on the times BigS! Anything in the 1.30s in 60ft is KILLER!

Sorry for the late post Monte.I run a 468 bb that put out 772HP on the dyno and a powerglide with a 5200 stall convertor.
On the other hand thanks for the compliment Cutlassracer. Its been a long road since I first got this car but its starting to come together.I have a new problem now.The car leans to the right side about an inch or so lower than the left.I got some good advice from another site that I need to try.But I really need to get with TRZ on somemore rear components.I'm hoping for lower 1.30 60's on the motro when I get it straightened out. Then I'm going to put the nitrous to it to see if I can go 5's.
