It can be a lot of fun. If you can take the A-arms to a shop with a bushing tool it's worth the $$ just to avoid the frustration. If the uppers are bad I would change the lowers, too. They carry more weight...
yea what Tommy said,i actually ruined one of my lowers a few years ago taking the bushing out to the point where i had to replace it ](*,) ](*,) .sure i know what not to do NOW but their not fun.
If you don't have the bushing tools, it's a bite in the neck. Even with them it's not always fun. I'd still recommend going to a shop & I have the tools...
If you use poly the uppers will go easier. You can press the outer shells into the arms and then put the cross shafts in. Still will be a pain getting the old ones out. Easiest way I have found is drilling the rubber out.
Put del-a-lums in my arms and bent the first tool I made. New one uses a 30 ton cylinder so they are easier now.
Also if you do the lowers you need to make spacers for inbetween the 2 halves
