I think you mean 063 heads ??? yes not 068?? Any way they will both be the same the 215 heads are a few years old casting than the 063 supersede the 215 heads. Both 101cc chamber exact same combustion chamber design

NOW some call these heads closed BUT I say they are OPEN chamber (101cc and larger) because they have a QUENCH area still. Closed chamber (98cc and less) HAVE NO QUENCH at all, just a small bath tub chamber tight around the valves.

I would call them the same casting... Might be a temp boss or something changed etc.

Anyway, back to the 7.5, I had one last about three years of HARD drag race abuse (what, I like doing burn-outs with slicks!) with a used F-body bolt together carrier and 28 spline Moser GN/Turbo Buick axles. With a 28-spline posi you will have the exact same axles as the 8.5. The only real issue I had was those carriers are not service-able.

Get some air bags for the rear springs.

Grab a rear sway bar from the local pull-a-part salvage. Buy all the missing body bushings for your car. Pick up a drive shaft loop! Weld the axle tubes to the housing.

3.73's should work with the 454. Poly bushings and braced control arms help. *I can't get the 275-60 drag radials I got to hook for crap on my big block stick shift car. 6500 is a little tight for that stock bottom end, but, if it'll breathe that deep, swing for the fences. Heck add a 125-150-175 shot! It'll talk to ya!

But I have a question about:

"flow-tech headers"

I have never seen any flow tech rat motor headers, I have heard of guys using the Hooker 2455 70-81 Camaro big block headers that are around $170, I got a set, but, have not tried them out personally...not yet.

Oh, get ready, you are going to need some c-clip eliminators if you're going to do much drag racing. (Or rear disc brakes)
