What motor mounts with truck accessories and a/c?

I've read every thread in this section that had something like that in the title and am still a little confused.

I have a complete truck setup and can't figure out which motor mounts to use? I want to reatain a/c. I have the stock truck pan, but I can swap that if it's a must.

Am I supposed to use the flat plate that adapts the 4 bolt LS to the 3 bolt traditional SBC?

If you do a search I started a post in march of this year (09) about all the costs and everything I used, but again, just plug away with questions.

Has anyone tried to cut the truck pan and weld it back together? Take out the deepness of the sump?

Can it be done, yes, but the pickup tube in the pan, thats really hard to weld as I've heard it. Try to locate a ctsv pan, they are the ones that are the right size, and you can usually get one w/ the pickup for a cool 200 cash, unless you search ls1tech.com or ebay
