what's this wire for?

was looking thru the wiring schematics today and noticed that some are repeats, rear grounds and rear lights, I think, anyway I have a pink or possibly purple that has faded, in the rear wiring, and do not know what it is for. as I am building a bare bones harness, for a race car, I am going to just omit hooking it up unless someone can shed some light on it. Thx...wannabe

If its pink its your fuel level wire.
