Which springs do I need (front and rear) to get my car back to stock ride height, with the BBC in it. I changed the rears with load levelers and it sits too high, and the front is too low with the BBC and the 6 cyl springs. It looks like sh*t and don't launch for nothing. Help please. thanks-Russ

I would buy cargo springs for the rear and for the front go with diesel springs for a 84 cutlass the weight should be close .

My mistake, not load levelers but they are cargo coils in the rear

go with factory rear springs. For the front just put in v8 springs.

If you like height of front lower the back down you could use qa1 springs and get them in length/pressure you want.

Just got done putting in the BB heavy front Moroso springs. Geez, this thing is on the ground. I was hopeing to bring it up a little over the old 6 cyl springs. It's even lower than before and they were talking about cutting coils off to adjust the height? WTF I can't believe this :(

Check with Global West. Doug specs an S54 front spring for a 1" drop with a BBC.

The s54 spring is for a small block application . I'm gonna have to call them about a big block. A friend of mine has some front springs from a 64-72 bb pontiac gto. My mechanic says these will not fit in my g-body. What could be the difference? I don't see why these would not work.

OMG last night at the races , it was so low in the front, I couldn't transfer any weight at all. These brand new springs are bottomed out already on my car. They are coming out this week, but don't know yet what to put in there to raise this barge.

The S54 is what Doug uses for a BBC in a G-body to get a 1" drop. I don't know if the Pontiac springs will make a difference. Pontiac engines only weigh around 75# more than a SBC, which is still 35# less than a BBC. (BTW, there's no such thing as a "Big Block" Poncho. All the late model engines share the same architecture) I don't know what your mechanic meant by the springs not fitting. Maybe he meant they might not work for your application.

Well how about a spring from like a 67-71 BBC Chevelle. Why wouldn't that fit? Is there a problem with the spring seating right or something? I kinda thought all springs were the same as far as fitting in the spring pockets. I think I'm getting closer.

Do you still have the moroso springs? I would be interested in buying them from you. I am putting a big block in my 79 Malibu. And I want mine to sit low in the front.
