So my 454 has been upside down on the engine stand since 09. Today I finally went and bought all the parts to put it back together. My car ran a 11.77 @ 114 before at 3200ft elev. It has a 3500 rpm stall 3.55 gears and a 275 50r15 ET street radials with a crane powermax 236/244 @50 .563/.573 lift and a 114 LSA. Today I went with a XE284H 240/246 @50 .574/.578 lift and a 110 LSA. I'm also switching to a B&M 3600 nitrous holeshot convertor that stalled to over 4000 with my 400SBC with vortec heads, so I'm guessing at least 4000+ with the big block. The engine is only about 8.75 to 1 and only had 135psi cranking compression with the crane cam. I was impressed with how good it worked for what it was. Do you guys think the new version will be faster? I'm hoping for an 11.5 on motor. I'm intersted to see how the difference in LSA affects the power. Thanks guys

I'm no Cam expert but, that's a big Cam for 8.75Cr. Another Point of Cr would be best.
Cam's with more overlap work better with more Cr also.

I'd like it to be 10.5 to 1, but this is what I've got for now. Over the winter I plan on building a 12.5 to 1 468 with a big roller cam. My end goal is to run a 9 on spray for cheap, with a car I can drive on the street.
