Hello all. I've been combing through the web looking for a forum that I can learn from on a 82 Monte Carlo that I had just recently picked up. I have seen a lot regarding the 83-88 year models, but the 78-82 models seem to be a bit lacking.
My MC was recently drug home by my '68 C10. The car does not have a motor, transmission, rear axle, or interior. But it does have T-tops and a cowl hood, which adds class to this ride. I had purchased it from a guy who was going to build it as a circle track racer, but had second thoughts on hacking up a perfectly straight body.
The car is perfect in that I can build it any way that I want, which will make for a fun project. My daughter doesn't care much for anything that's not a Mustang, but she had fell in love with this Monte Carlo. It's looking like that this car will be a daddy-daughter project, and no, she isn't afraid of getting her hands dirty.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to learning from Malibu racing! I've already browsed through the site a bit before registering, and I already like what I saw. Thank you for letting me be a part of your community.
