Crank relearn would just result in bad misfires but it would still start. Check your spark and pull one of the plugs out and make sure they aren't fouled.

I'm making nearly 400rwhp with that filter and -6 braided nylon from the pump to the fuel rail with 30lb injectors. There are people making some pretty stout power with those filters. It's great for these swaps considering the filter regulates fuel pressure.

Yes only when running AC. I think both the truck and car compressors will fit with the BRP mounts but I'm not 100% sure, in the instructions they used F-body accessories.

Just looked it up, the black wire also goes to the level sensor. You don't need the level sensor just incase you were unsure.

Ran Sunday with a stock bottom LQ4, PRC 243's, TR224 cam .561 baby cam, LS6 intake in my 3400lb car and got a best of 11.83. The car had much more I'm just a noobie at drag racing. That's with a 1.7 60'. Love the car I could of driven it an hour and a half to the track if I wanted to.
