    #906 Vortec Heads

Just stating the limitations of the heads, as someone was asking. There is a guy on the chevelles board running a single, non intercooled turbo running 8.60's with Vortec heads.

    #906 Vortec Heads

I have vortec heads on my ~350CI. Solid lifter cam, RPM air gap. Cam specs, secret. Makes 470HP and 465FT-LBS, all in by 6500 RPM. DUAL PLANE INTAKE, on PUMP GASOLINE. Car has a 3500 10" converter in it. The heads HAVE been worked, and have big valves in 'em. Aside from that, I'm not at...

    standalone ECM and TPI?

FAST is good, and painless also makes a wiring harness for the engine, but it is primarily designed to use the factory ECM....so no real point in spending six hundred bucks on a harness to chop the connectors off the end of it, in my opinion.

    Hedman Husler #65218 Headers

I have the 1-7/8 version with the offset bolt pattern for my car plus adapter plates. I have not put them on the car yet - however they were used on the car before - there are no dings or anyhting in them anywhere to clearance plugs or any of that sort of stuff - they are a 3.5" collector though.

95 Caprice rearend, will it fit

OH, forgot to add: The posi, if it has one, is likely whipped. Most sedans had 3.08 hears, but could be had with 3.42's and 2.93's depending on engine/usage. If it's an SS diff, it'll have 3.08's in it

95 Caprice rearend, will it fit

Is it a Police Package (RPO 9C1), Civilian (RPO B4U) or Impala SS (RPO WX3) The diffs in those cars are different widths. If anything was to even come remotely close, I'd bet on a police package diff (they are the most narrow) but you'll still be likely over 2-3" too wide on each side. I...

    Moser 9" "Bolt-in" Rear for G-Body ???

So what's being said here, is a housing that's nearly a thousand bucks with axles, doesn't fit worth a poop? I'll pass on this one.

    Need help identifying rear-end

All you need to set the pinion angle is a harbor freight driveline angle protractor. I paid about $6 for mine at the local harbor freight equivalent in Canada. Plus I used it to level up my fridge when I was done using it on the car, so it was win-win.

Rear Differential Width for a 10.5 tire

What is the narrow-est (is that even a word?) I can put a rear end in a malibu with the stock frame rails, without having to get all chop-happy on the frame rails? I'd like to run a 10.5" tire, but I will run a narrower tire if necessary - There is currently no diff in the car, and it is set up...

    700R4 CONVERSION

Who built your 700? I've built several 4L60-E's in cars that are WELL over 4400lbs, running in the elevens and high tens. Never had an issue. Built right, behind a big block in a light car like ours, that trans should last forever.

    Ford 9 inch , ROMAC hubs ?

If it's the stock caprice diff, it's an 8.5" 10 Bolt. There was a guy on here a while back that used a B-car diff in his G-body car, but I'm not entirely sure how he made out. The B-car differentials are roughly 62" wide, as a G-car is 58" or so. You'll likely need to buy wheels, or have the...

    Cams vs. EFI

You can run pretty much as big as a camshaft as you like anymore, there are some guys out there that do some pretty awesome tunes for some pretty radical camshafts. LE's cams for the LT1 engines are VERY VERY aggressive - and the tuners can fix 'em up pretty good. I'm right beside Detroit if...
