Do you think 7" of droop/travel is enough 4 a low hp car?

I am somewhat of a mas*chist in that I set some self imposed rules on my current project. The main 2 are 1) try and look as "stock" as possible 2) lift the front wheels on a true radial Right now I will be able to get about 7" droop out of the front suspension. With only 400/450HP and my...

Anyone doing any light towing with their V6?????

I may want to tow a 1500# trailer with the Bonnie ( Buick 231 , Metric200, now with 3.42 gears). The rear tires are tall making my "effective" ratio around 3.08. May put a slightly ahorter tire to help the ratio. So what have you towed?

So school me on the 3.8 v6 motor

Once again looking at a daily driver , it is an 1985 with a low miles 3.8 v6 2v. I "assume" this is the engine that led/morphed into the Buick 3800? If so it should be a decent engine, yes? Also does it have a BOP bellhousing pattern? The trans is so/so , so a swap would be in the near...

Do metric200 & 200r use the same speedo drive

I am boucing around the idea of puting a set 3.73 in front of a METRIC200 trans. Checked and found a M200 never has 3.73z behind it. In 87/88 the 200r did. So can I order/install the drive from a 200r application so the speedo/odo reads correct?

Anyone put "gears" behind a 3.8?

Just curious, looking at a 86 with a V6. If GM held true this will have some horrible ratio like 2.29 or something. Anyone try a set of 3.73z behind a stockish motor?

    Footbrake vs T-brake shock settings

I now have a baseline for leaving off my left foot. Next is to start playing with the trans brake. Would you suggest just leaving them (settings) where they are and going from there. Or is there a trend you found when going T-brake. I am thinking stiffer all around would be the way to go...

Anyone do a-b-a testing with a tapered spacer /HVH sucker?

When I dynoed my motor, we tried different carbs/manifolds and spacers. The best numbers we got with a 4150 on a Victor were with a 1" 4 hole spacer on top of a open 1" spacer. Since that was my best, I picked up a 2" HVH super sucker thinking it is "equal" to the 2 stacked spacers. Anyone...

F41 and aftermarket bracing diagrams (pics added)

I checked the one on this site but it is small. When I resize it, it is too blurry. Looking for something that will fill a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet.
